Our Process

We love to grow our Sunset Ridge Labs Family and appreciate you finding us.

All our puppies are sold on Limited Registration only, which means we do not sell breeding rights.

The pricing of our puppies are between $2,500-$3,200 and we request a $400.00 non-refundable deposit

2. Call and Discussion with Breeder

   Please give us the time to review your application and we will reach out to discuss and answer any questions you may have regarding the manner in which our puppies are raised and/or the demeanor/look/interaction of the parents.

3. Complete our Puppy Contract/Guarantee and send the deposit

   After our call you can either fill out the attached Contract/Guarantee form and fill in the blanks or request that we do so for you. Once the contract/guarantee and deposit are received we will confirm receipt and update the website with your pick/litter/puppy.

4. Waiting for your Puppy

   This is the most difficult part of the process. Sunset Ridge Labs will keep you updated on the pups as they grow and future planned litters once the females come into heat and mating has transpired. We are very strict in our process and overall care for our dogs, not the least, the puppies. We will keep you updated with photos and videos and FaceTime if requested as we do not allow for visits to see the puppies or parents prior to pick up. Our puppies are raised in our home along with our kids and other animals. There are numerous diseases and illnesses that can impact the puppies and older dogs that you may unknowingly be carrying onto the property and it is our responsibility to mitigate potential vectors of disease that can impact the entire pack and your future puppy. We trust you understand why this is necessary for the health and well being of all involved.

5. Development while you wait

   We take the 8 week process very seriously and devote much time and energy to the developmental process of each puppy. The first 8 weeks of a puppy's life is crucial to their development, longevity, overall health etc. We follow the Puppy Culture Guidelines and handle the puppies on a daily basis, exposing them to many different sensory triggers. We introduce new smells, sounds, touches, toys and environments. This ensures a well rounded and healthy pup is introduced into your home and we pass the rest onto you.

6. Puppy Pick Ups

   Our puppies stay with us, mom and the pack until they are 8 weeks. We will set a puppy pick up date on or close to the 8 weeks mark. We will provide each family a set time and window for their pick up so we can spend one on one time with each family to answer any questions the new family has.

1. Review and Complete our Puppy Application

   Please fill out our puppy application with as much information as you can. Share with us as much about you as you feel comfortable to help us understand your intentions and what the puppies future will look like. This step is crucial to our program and is integral determining the exact fit for our puppies and the demeanor that will match your enviroment best. We do not want to see any of our puppies end up in shelters or in homes that they encounter and suffering or unnecessary stress/not properly taken care of. We will review your application and contact you to discuss our decision and the next step.
